The People's Way.

The break in weekly posts has been caused by having to deal with my ailing 96 year old mother and some preparatory work on a THA event, to be held towards the end of the year in London to celebrate our 10th Anniversary. An announcement will be made next week on Turbulent Times.

In the meantime with the local elections at the forefront of my mind I had this thought as to why we need our six demands:-

"There should not be a Left or a Right way in politics only the 'People's Way."

  1. I think a lot of people are very unhappy if not angry with the entitled attitude Johnson has regarding the application of law and the adherence to honesty. He is a disgrace to our country. He speaks and acts in our name yet we have no power to remove him. The balance of power being firmly weighted to our political class, who are no better.

    1. To misquote someone: "He has only a slight passing relationship with honesty."

From Demand 2: "Also, if one area wanted to introduce a method of MP recall, that would be up to them." I would love to see a system of recall introduced. Top of the list should be the Conservative MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip

  2. Dealing with elderly parents is rarely easy. You have my sympathy.

  3. Re: Local Elections. Since when did these become like the mid-term elections of the USA, a criticism of the current government? Watching TV, you would think that local politics is totally irrelevant. Maybe it is now, with almost everything mandated from the centre.

My 3 candidates bore the badges of Labour, Conservative and Lib Dem but then maybe few knew the candidates themselves.

As Neil Oliver said on Saturday, on GB News: "I trotted along to my local polling station and made my marks on the paper. It took some effort though. Along with so many people, I’m sure, I looked at the list of names and parties and thought, “What’s the point? What difference will it make?” I looked at the names and knew what the results would be even as I went through the motions of completing my vote."

    Yes. "What's the point?"

    1. Indeed, and only when the people are formally recognised as sovereign will it be worth voting again as the elected polticians will become the people's servants and not their masters.
